I live by the reality that life is what you make it. It doesn't matter where you start, but it matters where you finish. You see, I grew up on the south side of Chicago. My father died of AIDS when I was nine years old. I also lost a brother to gun violence when he was 17 and I was 14. I grew up in a single parent home, my mother was on her own since the age of 15. She relocated from South Carolina to Chicago. She only had a 10th grade education. She raised three boys in Chicago. We had it rough at times growing up to say the least. I've experienced a lot tragic events that oftentimes "statistically" they might say one wouldn't be bounce back from and become successful. To add to that, majority of my family had no college education at all, barely high school. I am the second person in my entire family to graduate from college; my oldest brother was the first. Since graduating college, I've had a successful career owning a couple different businesses. I've also been fortunate to speak and inspire others to find their purpose and pursue their dreams. I've done this through my music, public speaking, poetry and my written works. I've also had the opportunity to travel different places promoting peace, hope, love, purpose, entrepreneurship and community unity. I have helped people overcome their past, understand their talents, find faith in God, find their purpose, and create businesses around their talents and skills! My mission is to empower more people to do the same. Empower people to dream and to have hope. I never would've thought I could do what I love and make a living doing it! It took some trial and error, but that trial and error makes it easier to teach others how to find their purpose and talents, and to do what they love!
